Terms of Service
Last updated: 2026-09-19
Draft for product use. Not a substitute for attorney review. Operated as Homefield Fantasy (legal entity TBD — see operator notice below). These Terms describe how Homefield intends to operate paid plans; they do not create a warranty of uptime, contest winnings, or legal formation of an LLC.
These Terms govern your access to and use of Homefield Fantasy (“Homefield,” “we,” “us”) at https://homefieldfantasy.com and related apps and APIs. By creating an account, connecting a league, uploading DFS data, or purchasing Homefield Pro, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy and Fantasy / DFS Disclaimer.
1. What Homefield is
Homefield is analysis software for season-long fantasy sports and daily fantasy sports (DFS). It may suggest start/sit, waiver, trade, and lineup ideas and generate optimizer-style builds. It is not a sportsbook, casino, broker-dealer, investment adviser, or payment rail for wagers. It is not affiliated with the NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, or other leagues, nor with Sleeper, CBS Sports, DraftKings, FanDuel, or other host platforms.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, if higher) to use paid features or DFS tools. You are solely responsible for confirming that fantasy sports and DFS are lawful where you live and for complying with contest-operator rules.
3. Accounts & Homefield Pro
Authentication is provided by Clerk. Paid access is sold as Homefield Pro (the Stripe Product name). Features gated to Pro may include cloud-saved settings, unlimited AI analyst asks, recommendation history, and personal accuracy metrics. Free tiers and limits may change; we will describe material changes in product copy where practical.
Complimentary or gifted Pro is not a Checkout purchase. Timed gifts, auto-converting free periods, and limited-time complimentary lifetime grants are described in Section 6 and are separate from paid Stripe SKUs unless you add a payment method and subscribe.
4. Billing plans
Homefield Pro is billed through Stripe Checkout. Amounts shown on Pricing and at Checkout are controlling for what you pay; list prices may change for future purchases. Unless a plan is listed as available at Checkout, it is not offered for sale.
- Monthly subscription. Recurring monthly charge for Homefield Pro until you cancel. Renews on each billing anniversary unless canceled before renewal.
- Yearly subscription. Recurring annual charge for Homefield Pro. The standard yearly list price is priced as ten months at the monthly rate (pay for 10, get 12 — “2 months free” versus paying month-by-month for a full year). That discount is baked into the yearly Price, not a separate coupon, unless we say otherwise at Checkout.
- Lifetime purchase (one-time). When offered on Pricing / Checkout, a one-time payment for Homefield Pro access that does not auto-renew. Lifetime means ongoing Pro entitlement for your account while Homefield continues to offer the product under these Terms — not a promise that Homefield will operate forever, that every future feature stays free of charge forever, or that the purchase is transferable. If lifetime is not listed at Checkout, it is not currently for sale (operator complimentary lifetime grants are not the same as a paid lifetime SKU).
Taxes, currency conversion, and payment-method fees may apply as shown by Stripe. Failed payments may result in loss of Pro access after any grace period Stripe or Homefield provides.
5. Discount & promo codes
We may offer Stripe Coupons and Promotion Codes (including free-period or percent-off offers). Enter an active code on Pricing (including invite links like /pricing?promo=HF3MO). Homefield validates eligible codes and pre-applies them when opening Stripe Checkout — Stripe’s open promo field is not used for Homefield-validated offers (so lifetime giveaways cannot be mistyped onto a monthly or yearly Price).
- Codes are subject to limits, expiry, and eligibility set in Stripe.
- Invalid, inactive, or exhausted codes will not apply; Checkout will show Stripe’s error.
- Promo terms do not change these Terms except for the price or duration of the discount itself. After a free or discounted period ends, normal plan pricing applies unless you cancel in time (see Sections 6–7).
- Short-window Checkout codes such as HFLIFETIME (when offered) are 100% off one Checkout charge during a limited redemption window with a redemption cap, and apply only to the HomeField Lifer (lifetime) one-time plan when that SKU is listed at Checkout. Homefield rejects these codes on monthly or yearly Checkout (where they would free a single invoice then renew). They are not the paid one-time lifetime SKU described in Section 4, and they are not an operator / admin complimentary lifetime grant under Section 6.
- We may revoke a code or withhold Pro if a code was obtained fraudulently or used contrary to its intended limits.
6. Gifted free periods & complimentary grants
Homefield may gift or promote Pro access without charging for an initial period. Two common shapes:
- Gifted 3-month or 6-month free period → paid conversion (card on file). When you redeem a 3- or 6-month free offer through Stripe Checkout / a subscription with a payment method on file (including Promotion Codes such as HF3MO, HF6MO, GIFT3, or GIFT6 when offered), you receive Homefield Pro at no charge for that free period. Unless you cancel in time, the subscription auto-converts to paid full list price for the plan you selected (typically the monthly Price, unless the offer states yearly).
- Standard Stripe gift Coupons (repeating % off). Codes like HF3MO / HF6MO / GIFT3 / GIFT6 are typically 100% off for a repeating number of months on the subscription. Stripe then bills full list price on the subscription anniversary after those free cycles — not on a separate “last U.S. federal business day” calendar date.
- Calendar trial end (only if the offer says so). Some invites may instead set a Checkout / subscription trial_end on a stated calendar date (for example, after the last weekday of the final free month). When an offer uses that shape, Checkout, the invite, or your Stripe customer records state the charge date — do not assume every gift code uses calendar timing.
- Complimentary grant with no payment method (operator / admin gift). Timed gifts of 3 months, 6 months, or similar that are applied only in Homefield’s database (no Stripe subscription) expire without charging a card. They do not auto-convert to paid Pro. To keep Pro after expiry, you must complete Checkout yourself.
- Limited-time complimentary lifetime grants. Homefield may offer complimentary lifetime Pro for a limited promotional, tester, or invite window. What expires is the offer window, not the grant once redeemed: after the window closes, new complimentary lifetime grants may stop, but an already issued grant does not gain a timed expiry solely because the giveaway ended. A redeemed grant is complimentary (not a paid lifetime SKU), continues with no timed expiry while Homefield continues to offer Pro under these Terms, and may still be revoked for fraud, Terms violations, account closure, or service wind-down. Complimentary lifetime is not transferable and is not a promise that Homefield will operate forever or that every future feature remains included.
Gift and promo eligibility, duration, and plan (monthly vs yearly) are as stated in the offer, invite, or Stripe Coupon at the time of redemption. We do not invent prices here — Checkout and your Stripe customer records show the amounts that will apply after conversion.
7. Cancellation, charge timing & refunds
How to cancel. You may cancel auto-renewal from Account → Manage billing when the Stripe Customer Portal is enabled, or by contacting support@homefieldfantasy.com. Cancellation stops future renewals and paid conversions; you generally keep Pro through the end of any period already paid or still covered by an active free gift. Canceling does not by itself refund prior charges.
Cancel-by timing for gifted 3- / 6-month free → paid. If your free period is on a Stripe subscription with a card on file, you must cancel before the first full-price charge to avoid being billed. For standard repeating-coupon gift codes (HF3MO / HF6MO / GIFT3 / GIFT6 and similar), cancel before Stripe’s next full-price invoice on the subscription anniversary after the free cycles — use the renewal / upcoming-invoice date shown in Stripe Checkout confirmation, invoice email, or Customer Portal when enabled. If your specific offer used a calendar trial_end, cancel before that stated end date instead. If you cancel after Stripe has already collected the conversion charge, that charge is treated like any other paid period (see Refunds below) unless required otherwise by law or we issue a discretionary credit.
Ordinary renewals (monthly / yearly). For paid subscriptions without a remaining free period, cancel before the next renewal date shown in Stripe / Customer Portal to avoid the upcoming charge. Yearly plans renew once per year at the then-applicable yearly Price unless canceled.
Paid lifetime (one-time). A completed one-time lifetime purchase is not a subscription, so there is no renewal to cancel. Access continues under Section 4 unless we terminate for breach or shut down the service as described in these Terms.
Complimentary lifetime grants. There is no auto-renewal charge to cancel. Homefield may end or revoke the grant as described in Section 6 (fraud, Terms violations, account closure, or wind-down). Ending a complimentary grant does not create a Stripe refund obligation because no purchase occurred.
Refunds. Homefield Pro is digital SaaS analysis software. Except where required by applicable law (including any mandatory cooling-off or consumer rights that cannot be waived), purchases are generally non-refundable once Checkout completes and Pro access is granted — including mid-period subscription cancellations, auto-converted charges after a free period, and one-time lifetime purchases. We may, at our sole discretion, issue a goodwill refund or credit in limited cases (for example, clear double-charge or documented Checkout error). Fantasy / DFS results, unused AI asks, or dissatisfaction with analysis quality are not grounds for a refund.
Chargebacks or payment disputes may result in suspension of the account until resolved. Contact support before disputing a charge so we can help.
8. Stripe Test vs production
Homefield may run Stripe in Test mode (test keys, no real card charges) or Live / production mode (real charges). Test Checkout sessions, test cards, and test Promotion Codes do not create lasting paid entitlements on the live product and are not a promise that Live catalog prices match Test. Only Live-mode Checkout with a successful payment creates a paid Homefield Pro purchase against production billing. We do not claim formal security certifications, or that Customer Portal is available until it is actually enabled in the connected Stripe account.
9. League connections & host platforms
You may connect Sleeper usernames or CBS league identifiers and session tokens that you are authorized to use. Do not share passwords with Homefield — CBS passwords are never collected. Season advice and AI output do not place trades, set lineups, submit waivers, or otherwise execute moves on Sleeper, CBS, or any host. You must apply decisions yourself on the host platform.
10. No guarantees; your responsibility
Start/sit, waiver, trade, and DFS suggestions — including AI output — can be wrong, incomplete, delayed, or based on imperfect data. Accuracy percentages describe historical ledger outcomes for your account when available; they are not a promise of future results. You are solely responsible for lineup decisions, contest entries, and any financial risk. See the Disclaimer for fantasy / DFS-specific warnings.
11. Acceptable use
- Do not abuse rate limits, reverse engineer paid features, or attempt unauthorized access.
- Do not scrape third-party sites through Homefield or use Homefield to bypass host TOS.
- Do not upload or share API keys, session tokens, or credentials you do not own.
- Do not use the service for unlawful gambling facilitation or to target minors.
- Do not harass other users or operators, or disrupt infrastructure.
- Do not share, resell, or transfer Homefield Pro access except as we expressly allow.
We may suspend or terminate access for violations or risk to the service or third parties.
12. Intellectual property
Homefield branding, UI, and original software are owned by the operator. Third-party marks (league logos, host names) belong to their owners and appear only for identification. You retain rights to content you upload, subject to the license needed to operate the product (e.g., processing league snapshots and recommendation events).
13. Disclaimers & limitation of liability
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, HOMEFIELD FANTASY WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, CONTEST ENTRIES, OR LINEUP OUTCOMES, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
14. Indemnity
You agree to defend and indemnify Homefield Fantasy against claims arising from your misuse of the service, your violation of these Terms or applicable law, or your connection of leagues or tokens without authorization.
15. Governing law
Governing law and venue will be the laws applicable to the operator of Homefield Fantasy (entity and state TBD). Until that is set in writing after legal review, disputes will be handled under applicable U.S. law in a forum reasonably related to the operator. Mandatory consumer protections in your place of residence still apply where required.
16. Changes
We may update these Terms. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use after posting constitutes acceptance of material changes where permitted by law. For paid plans, material price or plan-structure changes apply to future renewals or new purchases; we do not claim the right to rewrite a completed one-time lifetime purchase into a subscription without your agreement, except as required to operate or wind down the service.
